Busy, busy

Can't really remember what we did for rest of last week suffice to say I was busy with work and a few orders and Charlie was very busy with the wonderful Happy Mais.

On Saturday we had to go into Banbury to pay some bills and pay in a couple of business cheques. We had a mooch around as usual and Charlie chose a Famous Five audio book on tape to listen to and we also had lunch in M&S.

We spent some time at Stoke Wood which is a really lovely ancient woodland, with the exception of being so close to the M40! Charlie really enjoyed this although he cunningly lead us on the very longest route which my knees and legs weren't thankful for! We're planning on going back soon as they have a section that is suitable for bikes, so when we get our new car we'll take Charlie's bike up there.

Came home and had dinner and then watched Haunted Mansion
together which we quite liked. It was quite good to see it after enjoying the ride in Florida so much.

Sunday morning I worked and Charlie pottered around doing stuff. In the afternoon we decided to make a start on the load of science type kits he got for Christmas last year.

We started with the volcano which ahd to be painted white first after having done a neutralisation activity.

Whilst that was drying we started the crystal growing kit.

As the first layer of paint had dried Charlie applied the colour detail.

We also started the bulging brains horrible science kit by mixing the plaster of paris and pouring it in the moulds. That's drying out on the window sill with the crystal kit, which should have grown by Sunday hopefully.

Then we moved onto crafts. Charlie did Happy Mais making a crane and hama with me and Bev did some engraving thingy.

The dolphin is part of a mobile kit but the chick is his own design and he was pleased with it. He find the hama designs really hard to deal with so prefers doing his own thing. Although he is really looking forward to one of the BM kits we've ordered.

I spent a lot of the weekend feeling sorry for myself as the pill is making me really ill this time, but I'll get over it!
