Tuesday

I deliberately left out Maths yesterday and Charlie chose to do English and Science workbooks. He really loves the Science ones and did about 10 pages without my even noticing!

He also did some more of his roman project, and chose coins from our previously drawn spider diagram.

I sent him out to play in the back garden and to re-fill the bird feeders, although one has mysteriously disappeared. We noticed last week that it was being knocked down from the tree every day by a mystery culprit and has now totally disappeared from the garden! Freaky animals must frequent our part of the woods.

Charlie was overjoyed when the little boy from next door, who is the same age, came out to play and I could hear them laughing and playing for ages which was lovely as he hasn't seen him for ages.

Wednesday

Again today maths was left out of the equation and Charlie did science and English work books, several pages in each. He also finished off the coin section of his roman project by writing about the various coins and which he liked best - an "as" apparently.

He's also done another Draw Write Now lesson and asked me to choose which one. So a penguin it was - and its rather good although the writing leaves a lot to be desired.

This morning he also wrote a letter back to my youngest cousin this morning after she wrote to him last week.

At the moment he is in the garden waiting for his friend from next door and is doing what he claims is "weeding" although in reality it is just an extension of the adult sized hole the two of them dug last summer in the bed!
