I've got behind on blogging again - it's shocking really.
Thing is my days are getting a bit repetitive and therefore boring for others - manic busy with work , stress with business, hours spent on the phone to pr, marketing, SEO,web design people, suppliers and other wahms in the same line of biz.
So that's exactly what I did every day last week and today. Managed to make a wahm late to pick up her kids from school as she was too busy nattering to me about pr stuff :)
Weekend was busy too - went to MK on Saturday and omg it's so much bigger than when I was last there as a teenager (my nan lives there) We nearly died walking round all the shops but Charlie was over the moon with his Crocs and bear Bear is called Lionel and Charlie slings him and lifts up his top to breast feed! rofl
Sunday was busy because we went to Birmingham for yet another trade show. Charlie changed his mind and decided not to come just as we were leaving and luckily my parents were actually at home for the day so we sent him round there. One of our suppliers was gutted that he didn't come as they had been looking forward to seeing him again.
We placed two orders there for some nice new products and one we are really quite excited about as its very eco-friendly and we will be one of the very first UK retailers if not the first. This was the first time that this company have supplied to trade and we were the first order of the 3 day trade show. Hoping for some good pr for this one as its exclusive-ish.
Found a couple of new gifty type products we will stock eventually and watching some of the children in the catwalk shows was cute. The older ones were disturbingly sexual in dance moves etc which made us both so uncomfortable we couldn't watch any longer. Especially as the boys were only around 6-8 and the girls maybe 7-9ish, bit too close to home age wise.
When we got back our marketing postcard design had been finalised by the marketing yetis and we were also the proud new owners of a strap line. Gotta love the dedication of yetis that will work over the weekend for you so that you can meet a printing deadline :)
We're exhibting at a show on Saturday - only a small-ish local one and having just placed an order with morplan for various bits and bobs for it I'm feeling under prepared.
Got so many plans and thoughts in my head for all sorts of business things, including an idea I really want to bash over with someone who hasn't responded to my text or e-mail!!! It's causing me lack of sleep as I can't switch off and stop thinking. I'm nowhere near tired at the moment but have huge piles of files to get finished tomorrow.
