Yet another productive day - something fishy is going on here! Charlie did several pages of maths - some very quickly and managed to finish the whole workbook. He did really well at some quite hard taking away sums and at some time stuff.

I downloaded and printed some Narnia stuff from the Film Education website and he has just started to look at that.

He and Bev went over to the playground and spent an hour or so running about and they have just spent another hour in the garden, sorting out the shed before we move and generally larking about.

We've not done any Sonlight this week and don't intend to do any for the next 2 weeks either due to the move. We've stopped at a convenient place, just at the beginning of the Egyptian stuff and as its something Charlie is very interested in, we'll be adding loads of extras in to this. Having said that, he appears to love all history. We're seriously considering a trip to Egypt early next year which would tie in beautifully, but the heat worries me as does the food/tummy upset situation! We think a Nile Cruise would be perfect as there are trips everyday to places like Abu Simel, Valley of the Kings, various temples etc and it all sounds fabulous.

My parents are probably doing one in April, but as we can't afford their kind of holiday, and April would be toooooo hot, we won't be joining them. Hayes & Jarvis have some promising holidays, and are posh enough to allay my fears of illness, whereas looking at the Airtours cruises frightened me!
